Holey Moley (Team Project - Global Games Jam 2023)

​Contributions:

  • Created some of the pixel art of the mole player character, vines, grass, and oxygen tanks.

  • Animation work including the mole's movement and dig, as well as the growth of the vines

  • I made some of the effects such as explosions, and when a gear is collected.

  • I made the game's UI like the mole's dash meter and oxygen meter.

  • Made the oxygen overlay effect.

  • Created the victory splash screen.

Skills I developed:

  • Communication, in terms of what would be the best route to go for with the art style and the necessary assets.

  • Effective prioritization of certain assets given this was for the global game jam - a weekend-long project.

  • Taking feedback from multiple team members which helped to develop the designs with each iteration.
