      Gear Girl (Team Project)

​Contributions:

  • Made the splash art for the main menu along with the buttons.

  • Created some concept art for the player character, toy towers and nightmares.

  • Developed some of the character animations including the player character.

  • Animated some of the projectiles such as the player's, toy towers and nightmares.

  • I made some of the effects such as explosions, and when a gear is collected.

  • I made the UI that appears during gameplay such as health and the enemy counter.

  • Created a pause, game over and victory overlay.

Skills I developed:

  • Communicating my ideas with other team members including our other artist, leading to more developed and focused ideas.

  • Effective prioritisation with certain assets in relation to weekly milestones along with the overall development timeline.

  • Risk assessment with developing and animating certain assets in order to keep within the scope of development.

  • Taking feedback from multiple team members which helped to develop the designs with each iteration.
